Breeding
Aged in large wooden vats for 12 months
On the eye
Bright ruby red with good depth of colour
On the nose
Fragrant red fruit character—strawberry and raspberry—with darker notes of blackberry. The bouquet is clean and inviting, reflecting the wine's Grenache purity.
In the mouth
The palate shows admirable structure: ripe fruit flavours balanced by fine tannins and good acidity. There is both power and elegance here, with a finish that lingers with mineral precision.
A wine of genuine merit that pairs beautifully with charcuterie and pâtés, particularly those with game elements. The Grenache's natural affinity for cured meats makes this an excellent choice for the British table. Also excellent with roasted poultry and Mediterranean-influenced dishes.

Domaine de la Janasse is a wine estate in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Courthézon (Vaucluse). Founded in 1973 by Aimé Sabon. Around 90 hectares of vines. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault. Single-vineyard cuvées: Vieilles Vignes, Chaupin. Wines capture the diversity of terroirs across the appellation. Available at Les Halles de Quercamps.
