On the eye
Ruby with violet reflections; clear and bright.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and violet emerge with subtle mineral undertones. The bouquet is restrained and refined, developing gradually in the glass.
In the mouth
A discreet attack gives way to a dense, mineral palate of considerable complexity. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, with a persistent finish that rewards contemplation.
This wine's mineral structure and subtle fruit expression make it an ideal companion to sauced dishes—particularly game preparations, coq au vin, or beef in red wine reductions. The restraint of the vintage allows it to enhance rather than dominate the table.

Based in Fleurie at the heart of the Beaujolais, Domaine Lucien Lardy farms 18 hectares of pink granite and iron-rich sandy soils — a terrain ideally suited to precise, expressive Gamay. Lucien Lardy settled at Le Vivier in 1978 with just 5 hectares, building the estate over decades as a third-generation vigneron. A founder of the Terroirs Originels alliance, he vinifies each plot separately across Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, allowing the geology to speak clearly through the wine. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its plot-by-plot approach and the remarkable clarity its wines bring to anyone wishing to understand the full geological diversity of the Beaujolais.
