Beaujolais Chardonnay of refinement and balance

  • This dry white wine exemplifies the understated elegance of Beaujolais Chardonnay. Its mineral structure and saline finish make it an ideal companion to fish and shellfish dishes, whilst remaining sufficiently versatile for aperitif service.
  • Jean-Paul Brun's minimalist approach to winemaking—notably his restrained use of sulphites—allows the wine's natural aromatics to shine. Expect fresh citrus and stone fruit notes with a refined, linear character.
  • A genuine expression of Beaujolais terroir, this wine rewards those who appreciate subtlety over ostentation. It represents the serious side of the region's viticultural tradition.

Breeding
In stainless steel and concrete vats
On the eye
Pale yellow, bright and clear. Minimal sulphite use may result in light sediment.
On the nose
Fresh aromatics of green apple, lemon, pineapple and melon, with underlying mineral notes characteristic of the appellation.
In the mouth
Smooth and textured with savoury mineral nuances. A distinctive salinity provides structure and length, balancing the wine's natural acidity.
M. Francois
Best served as an aperitif or alongside white fish and seafood preparations. The wine's mineral backbone pairs particularly well with oysters, Dover sole, and delicate crustacean dishes. Serve lightly chilled at 10–12°C to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity and saline character.
