On the eye
Pale, luminous ruby with a delicate rim
On the nose
Subtle aromatics of red cherry and vanilla, with a whisper of herbaceous notes typical of the appellation. The bouquet develops gradually in the glass.
In the mouth
Warm and supple on the palate, with a richness that belies its modest alcohol. The fine tannins provide structure without dominating; the finish is clean and persistent.
A natural companion to roasted lamb, particularly gigot d'agneau. The wine's acidity and tannin balance cuts through the meat's richness whilst its fruit complements herb-based accompaniments. Also excellent with aged goat's cheese or charcuterie.
