Breeding
It is aged in vat for the Grenaches and in oak barrels of 3 to 4 years for the Syrah and Mourvèdre.
On the eye
Deep garnet red with lustrous intensity
On the nose
Aromas of blackcurrant and dark cherry meld with garrigue and white pepper—characteristic expressions of the appellation's limestone terroir and Mediterranean influence.
In the mouth
Ample and suave on the palate, with fine-grained tannins wrapped in the roundness of Grenache. The finish is persistent, closing on subtle notes of black pepper and liquorice.
A versatile table wine. Pair with beef carpaccio, beef stroganoff, roasted duck with mushrooms, or spring lamb. The structure and spice complement game and herb-dressed dishes. Serve at 16–17°C.

Vignobles Alain Jaume is a family wine estate in Orange (Vaucluse), Southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1826. Around 85 hectares. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Viognier. Appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Domaine Grand Veneur), Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, Vacqueyras. Organically farmed since 2010.
