Intense purple-red colour, deeper than typical Volnay, suggesting good concentration and maturity potential.
On the nose
Complex bouquet of dark berries—blackcurrant, bilberry, black cherry—with pronounced mineral notes of flint. The stony soil character is distinctly present, adding refinement to the aromatic profile.
In the mouth

Les Fremiets sits at the Pommard boundary; its name derives from 'frémir'—to quiver—as it is often the first parcel to break bud in spring.
