Breeding
The wine is aged 6 to 8 months in old oak foudres.
On the eye
Deep purple with violet reflections
On the nose
Initial floral notes of violet give way to ripe red and dark berries. The bouquet develops with air, revealing layered fruit character without heaviness.
In the mouth
Fine yet substantial, with pure, linear structure built on powdery tannins. The palate balances elegance with flesh, finishing long and fresh with subtle chocolate undertones.
M. Francois
Serve this Brouilly Pierreux with blanquette de veau, Spanish tapas, or Bresse chicken with dauphinoise potatoes. Its balance and freshness make it equally rewarding as an aperitif wine or alongside lighter meat dishes. Decant briefly before service.
