Black fruit and liquorice dominate the bouquet, with subtle spice notes emerging as the wine opens. The aromatics are clean and well-defined, reflecting careful élevage.
In the mouth
Elegant and concentrated on the palate, with fine tannin structure and good length. The wine shows the characteristic peppery spice of northern Rhône Syrah, balanced by ripe dark fruit and a mineral finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with beef dishes, particularly those with spice or char. A grilled côte de boeuf with aromatic spicing would complement the wine's structure and fruit concentration admirably. Also excellent with game and herb-crusted lamb.

Domaine Alain Graillot is a wine estate in Pont-de-l'Isère (Drôme), Crozes-Hermitage appellation (Northern Rhône Valley). Founded in 1985 by Alain Graillot. Around 21 hectares of vines. Grapes: Syrah (reds), Marsanne and Roussanne (whites). Cuvée La Guiraude (old-vine selection). One of the most acclaimed Crozes-Hermitage estates.
