80% in large wooden vats and 20% in barrels (one-third new), for 12 months

Deep purple, dense and luminous
On the nose
Blackberry and cassis dominate, with violet aromatics emerging as the wine opens. Subtle garrigue undertones speak to the southern Rhône terroir.
In the mouth
Broad, fleshy attack with rich, velvety texture. Mature, silky tannins are beautifully integrated, providing structure without heaviness. The finish is clean and persistent.

Domaine de la Janasse is a wine estate in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Courthézon (Vaucluse). Founded in 1973 by Aimé Sabon. Around 90 hectares of vines. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault. Single-vineyard cuvées: Vieilles Vignes, Chaupin. Wines capture the diversity of terroirs across the appellation. Available at Les Halles de Quercamps.
