Breeding
Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, with approximately 25% new wood, imparting subtle vanilla and toasted aromas whilst respecting the fruit expression

Intense and layered bouquet: ripe dark fruits of blackberry and cassis, soft spice notes of black pepper, with the characteristic violet florality typical of northern Rhône Syrah

Domaine Louis Chèze's Saint-Joseph Rouge Ro-Ree is a refined expression of northern Rhône Syrah, articulating the appellation's elegance with precision. Complex dark fruit and spice aromatics, velvety texture and crisp finish make it an excellent companion to grilled red meats, game and sauce-based dishes. Accessible yet sophisticated—equally rewarding drunk young or after several years' cellaring, when additional complexity emerges.

DOMAINE LOUIS CHEZE
On the granite hillsides of Limony in Ardèche, Domaine Louis Cheze works 35 hectares within the Saint-Joseph appellation, on the right bank of the Rhône. Louis Chèze took over the property in 1978 with a single hectare, building the estate steadily around Syrah for the reds and Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier for the whites, with yields held between 25 and 40 hl/ha depending on the cuvée. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the consistency of its wines, the frank mineral expression of Limony's granite, and the commitment of three generations — Louis, Camille and Benoît Chèze — to one of the northern Rhône's most demanding terroirs. A dependable reference from the Vallée du Rhône.
