Breeding
Approximately 8 to 10 months predominantly in stainless steel (or concrete) vessels to preserve purity, with occasionally a small portion aged in older barrels (various vintages) to soften the structure without imparting oakiness.
On the eye
Deep purple-violet in colour, with brilliant clarity and luminous intensity.
On the nose
Notably expressive on the nose. Violet and black pepper dominate, with subtle spice notes and a mineral undertone characteristic of the Collines Rhodaniennes.
In the mouth
The tannins are silky and remarkably fine. A clean, structural freshness runs through the wine, preventing any heaviness and lending it considerable elegance and digestibility.
Laurent Combier achieves something quite remarkable here: a wine of genuine elegance and precision from a modest appellation. The wine is incisive, peppery, and remarkably food-friendly. It represents excellent value. Ideal for informal gatherings with friends, or paired with game terrines and charcuterie.

Domaine Laurent Combier is a family wine estate in Pont-de-l'Isère (Drôme), Crozes-Hermitage appellation (Northern Rhône Valley). Around 25 hectares farmed organically. Grapes: Syrah (reds), Marsanne and Roussanne (whites). Cuvées: Clos des Grives, Domaine. Fresh, precise terroir wines among the benchmarks of Crozes-Hermitage.
