Product features : Chateau "Latour a Pomerol" 1982 Pomerol

Breeding
Traditional, with élevage in French oak barrels (including a significant proportion of new wood at the time) for 18 to 20 months
On the eye
Deep garnet, evolving towards dark ruby with mahogany and tile-like hues at the rim, reflecting considerable maturity.
On the nose
An aromatic intensity that unfolds with black truffle, dark chocolate, preserved black cherry, noble leather and cigar box. The bouquet speaks of age and complexity with remarkable clarity.
In the mouth
Sumptuous and opulent. The texture is velvety, almost unctuous, with tannins that have completely resolved. The finish is extraordinarily long, sustained by the wine's natural fruit richness and a fascinating tertiary complexity.
M. Francois
The 1982 stands as the defining vintage for Latour à Pomerol—a wine of considerable stature that unites the solar power of its year with the appellation's inherent elegance. This is a mature wine of remarkable presence, offering those with patience and cellaring experience a profound expression of Pomerol at its finest.

CHÂTEAU LATOUR A POMEROL

Situated on the plateau of Pomerol in the Gironde, Château Latour à Pomerol covers 8 hectares of gravel, clay and silty-clay soils at the heart of one of Bordeaux's most discreet appellations. Acquired by Madame Loubat in 1917 and farmed under lease by Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix from 1962, the château passed into their full ownership in 2024 — a rare continuity that shows in the consistency and precision of every vintage. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the coherence of its Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend, the clearly defined character of its terroir, and the rigorous standards Moueix has long maintained across Pomerol. A reliable reference for those wishing to explore the appellation seriously.
