Breeding
10 to 12 months with a portion aged in oak barrels, often from multiple vintages, to soften the tannins and impart subtle oak character.
On the eye
Luminous garnet robe with good depth of colour.
On the nose
Warm and inviting on the nose, with prominent dark fruit—blackberry and bilberry—underpinned by subtle spice notes that add dimension and interest.
In the mouth
Savoury and well-balanced on the palate, with good mid-palate weight and a sustained, measured finish that speaks to proper extraction and élevage.
A complete and harmonious wine. It captures the generosity of Right Bank Merlot whilst maintaining the structural definition of classic Bordeaux. The balance between fruit and tannin suggests it will develop gracefully over the next five to seven years. Excellent with a côte de boeuf or roasted lamb.
