Breeding
Aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, imparting fine aromatic complexity without masking the fruit
On the eye
Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, bright and clear
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of ripe red berries, blackcurrant and plum, with discreet notes of cedar, spice and tobacco
In the mouth
Round and fleshy on the palate, with supple, well-integrated tannins. Red cherry and raspberry mingle with darker fruits and subtle notes of spice and liquorice, finishing with a light touch of oak. The wine is well-balanced with good freshness throughout
M. Francois
An elegant, well-structured wine that represents Lussac-Saint-Emilion with understated confidence. It suits roasted red meats, sauced dishes and mature cheeses admirably. Approachable now, yet capable of modest improvement in bottle over several years. A sound introduction to the appellation for those seeking Bordeaux with fruit-forward character and textural refinement

CHATEAU BLANCHON

Based in Lussac, Gironde, Château Blanchon produces red wines under the AOC Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation, one of the recognised satellite appellations of the Bordeaux right bank. Managed by GFA Vignobles Robert Dousseaux et Fils, the château crafts blends led by Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon lending structure and depth — a style characteristic of this part of the Gironde. The 2012 vintage was awarded a Gold Medal at the Concours de Bordeaux 2014, a reliable indicator of consistent quality in the cellar. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the coherence of its classic Bordeaux assemblage and for the competition recognition that confirms our own appreciation of its wines. A dependable reference for lovers of Lussac-Saint-Émilion.
