Product features : Joseph Drouhin Givry 2022 – Burgundy Red Wine

Breeding
10 to 14 months in barrel, of which 15 to 20% new oak
On the eye
Deep ruby, with a garnet edge suggesting maturity and concentration.
On the nose
Intense red fruit character—redcurrant and blackcurrant—with emerging spice and floral notes that develop as the wine opens in the glass.
In the mouth
Fine-grained tannins support a fleshy, ripe palate. The finish is long and savoury, with a gourmand quality that lingers pleasantly without heaviness.
M. Francois
A Givry of genuine breeding. I would reach for this alongside beef bourguignon or a well-made coq au vin—dishes that demand a wine of substance and refinement rather than mere power. The 2022 vintage has given us good ripeness without overextraction; the wine remains poised and food-friendly. Burgundy as it should be.
