Breeding
Ageing 2 years in 100% new oak barrels
On the eye
Brilliant garnet with violet tinges. Dense, concentrated appearance.
On the nose
Cassis and ripe plum lead, followed by hazelnut, blonde tobacco and hints of precious wood. Black pepper adds complexity and lift to the aromatic profile.
In the mouth
Broad attack with concentrated cassis and dark fruit. Liquorice and grilled notes develop mid-palate. Well-rounded tannins provide structure without harshness. The finish is notably long, with peppery spice and violet notes persisting. Powerful yet balanced.
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with duck breast in pepper sauce, beef tournedos, or truffle risotto. Its structure and weight suit rich, savoury dishes. Serve at 16–17°C to allow the aromatic complexity to emerge fully.
