A Corsican white to discover and savour

  • Produced in strictly limited quantities—fewer than 2,000 bottles per vintage—this is a confidential release from a serious producer. Scarcity and consistency mark each release.
  • Farmed biodynamically, the vineyard reflects Corsican terroir with rigorous attention to soil and seasonal rhythms. The result is wines of genuine character and balance.
  • Built on indigenous Corsican varieties that give this wine its distinctive personality. These local grapes express the island's unique geology and Mediterranean climate.

Product features : Abbatucci Alte Rosso 2023 Corsican White Wine

Breeding
Twelve months' élevage in 600-litre oak foudres from multiple vintages, followed by rest in stainless steel tank before bottling. No fining or intensive filtration.
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with green-gold glints. Bright and luminous in the glass.
On the nose
Intense and refined. Ripe yellow stone fruits—mirabelle plum, fresh apricot—mingle with garrigue florals (cistus blossom) and a subtle smoky minerality.
In the mouth
Powerful yet fresh, with good weight and texture. The palate balances richness with acidity, finishing clean and persistent.
M. Francois
This is a wine I return to often. Its structure suits smoked salmon, white fish, and fresh goat's cheese beautifully. It also complements refined summer salads and lighter seafood dishes. Drink it young for its freshness, or cellar it for three to five years if you prefer deeper complexity.

DOMAINE COMTE ABBATUCCI

Domaine Comte Abbatucci lies in the Taravo valley, southern Corsica. One of the island's oldest vineyards, it spans roughly 21 hectares of granitic hillsides at 150 m altitude. Biodynamic farming since 2000, led by Jean-Charles Abbatucci and his daughter Faustine. A unique conservatory of 18 indigenous Corsican grape varieties was established in the 1960s by Antoine Abbatucci. Main grapes: Vermentino, Sciacarello, Nielluccio.
