Breeding
Traditional in stainless steel and oak barrels
On the eye
Deep ruby with good intensity. The robe suggests ripeness without heaviness.
On the nose
Aromas of ripe dark berries and plum are complemented by subtle vanilla and oak spice. The bouquet develops gradually, revealing hints of earth and leather beneath the initial fruit.
In the mouth
The palate is generous and well-fleshed, with fine-grained tannins providing structure without dominating. Good acidity balances the wine's weight, leading to a clean, persistent finish.
M. Francois
A versatile food wine. Pair with roasted or braised beef and lamb, game birds, and mature hard cheeses. The wine's moderate alcohol and balanced tannins make it equally suitable for lighter fare such as duck or pork. Serve at 16–17°C. Drinking well now; will continue to develop over the next five to seven years.
