Breeding
12 months' élevage, split between oak barrels and stainless steel tanks.
On the eye
A deep purple hue, reminiscent of peony flowers.
On the nose
Young and vibrant, the nose reveals red fruits—raspberry and morello cherry—with hints of mineral freshness. With time in the glass, secondary notes of preserved fruit emerge, suggesting the wine's capacity to age.
In the mouth
Generous and round on the palate, with good natural acidity. The tannins are refined rather than assertive, allowing the fruit character to shine whilst maintaining the structure typical of well-made Burgundy.
M. Francois
This wine pairs particularly well with traditional Burgundian fare: petit salé aux lentilles, coq au vin, or similar rustic dishes where its balance and elegance can be fully appreciated. It also suits roasted poultry and soft cheeses admirably. Drink now or cellar for five to eight years as it develops further complexity.
