Powerful yet refined. Rich attack of ripe fruit, evolving into sweet spice and subtle oak nuance, underpinned by fine acidity that brings freshness and drive. The finish is long and composed.
On the nose
Complex and layered: cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant lead, followed by violet, liquorice, tobacco leaf and a refined vanilla note from the oak élevage. The bouquet unfolds gradually with air.
On the eye
Deep ruby with purple-garnet reflections, indicating concentration and classical Burgundy structure.
Breeding

Set at the heart of Vosne-Romanée in the Côte-d'Or, Domaine Michel Noellat farms 27 hectares of clay-limestone soils on east-south-east-facing slopes between 220 and 340 metres altitude. Founded in the 19th century by Félix Noëllat, the estate has passed through six generations of the same family, with Sébastien and Sophie Noëllat taking the helm in 2012, following Michel, Alain, and Jean-Marc before them.
