CHATEAU ANGELUS
Set across 42 hectares on the slopes and lower hillsides of Saint-Émilion (Gironde), Château Angélus draws on clay-limestone and sandy clay-limestone soils shaped by centuries of Bordeaux viticulture. Founded in 1782 and led since 2012 by Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, the château rose to Premier Grand Cru Classé A before voluntarily withdrawing from the classification in 2022 — a rare and deliberate statement of independence. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the precision of its terroir, the coherence of its Merlot and Cabernet Franc blends, and the singular trajectory of a property that has never allowed classification alone to define its ambitions. A structured, terroir-driven Saint-Émilion red of considerable depth.
