Mineral-driven white Burgundy from clay-limestone terroir
- Drink this wine young to enjoy its fresh, fruited character, or cellar it for five to eight years as it develops greater complexity and depth. The old vines concentrate flavour whilst maintaining the finesse characteristic of the appellation.
- A natural match for white fish in sauce, grilled seafood, or shellfish. Its mineral backbone and acidity make it equally at home as an aperitif wine or with lighter poultry dishes.

In the mouth
Fresh attack with good acidity and balance between liveliness and roundness. White fruit flavours meld with restrained oak from careful élevage. The finish is long and persistent, mineral-driven, with excellent length.
On the nose
Complex and layered: white stone fruits—apple and pear—are joined by citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit. Delicate white flowers, acacia and hawthorn, add floral elegance, whilst a subtle mineral note provides definition.
On the eye
Pale gold with silvery highlights and luminous clarity
Breeding
The wine undergoes extended ageing on fine lees for several months, imparting a rounded texture and considerable aromatic complexity.
The Vieilles Vignes designation indicates fruit from mature vines, which yield less but concentrate quality. Lower yields mean greater phenolic ripeness and complexity in the finished wine. This cuvée shows the depth and structure that old-vine Chardonnay can achieve in this limestone-rich terroir.
