In the mouth
Fruited and generous on entry, with a lovely persistence through the finish. The tannins are refined rather than assertive, making this wine approachable now whilst capable of modest cellaring
On the nose
Aromas of dark cherry and blueberry emerge first, followed by a subtle peppery note that adds complexity without overwhelming the fruit-forward character
On the eye
Bright ruby with good clarity and depth of colour
This wine pairs beautifully with veal escalope, but we particularly recommend it alongside smoked pork loin, where the wine's acidity and spice complement the richness of the meat. A versatile food wine for the table.
