In the mouth
Elegant and well-structured. Fine tannins provide presence without heaviness, typical of quality Pinot Noir. The attack is supple; red fruit flavours meld harmoniously with subtle spice and restrained wood. The texture is silken, the finish long and mineral-driven, with admirable balance and freshness throughout.
On the nose
Aromatic and layered. Red cherry and raspberry dominate, with subtle blackberry notes. Violet florality and gentle spice emerge, alongside restrained oak and vanilla from the élevage. The Gevrey-Chambertin terroir expresses itself through mineral undertones and earthy nuances that add considerable depth.
On the eye
Intense ruby-red with violet glints. Clear and bright, the colour reflects youthful vigour and excellent fruit extraction.
Breeding
Ageing in oak barrels (including a proportion of new oak) for approximately 12 to 18 months, imparting subtle oak character whilst preserving fruit purity
