On the eye
Deep ruby with magenta-rose highlights, suggesting both richness and elegance.
On the nose
Intense aromatics of rose and violet lead to dark stone fruits—plum, black cherry, bilberry—with preserved strawberry notes. Secondary aromas of buttered brioche and dark chocolate emerge on further aeration.
In the mouth
Supple attack with voluptuous, fleshy mid-palate. Preserved strawberry character develops into buttered brioche on the finish, with exceptional aromatic persistence and a closing note of Amarena cherry. Excellent balance throughout.
A natural companion to the gastronomic traditions of Lyon and the Rhône region. The wine's structure and fruit intensity make it equally suited to game, charcuterie, and richer poultry preparations. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, allowing its aromatic complexity to fully express itself.

DOMAINES CHERMETTE
Based at Saint-Vérand in the Rhône, Domaines Chermette farm 53 hectares of predominantly granite soils at the heart of the Beaujolais appellation. The estate traces its origins to the seventeenth century, when it was known as Domaine du Vissoux; Pierre-Marie Chermette took the reins in 1982, and in 2023 his son Jean-Etienne gave it its current name. Certified Terra Vitis, the range centres on Gamay grown on granite — producing reds of real character and definition — alongside whites from Chardonnay on clay-limestone parcels. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its agri-environmental approach and the precision with which each cuvée reflects its terroir. A benchmark address for those who take Beaujolais seriously.
