On the eye
Pale gold with green-tinged reflections
On the nose
Delicate floral character with white peach and hawthorn. A whisper of citrus zest and mineral notes suggest the limestone-rich soils of the appellation.
In the mouth
Crisp and well-balanced, with good acidity that carries the fruit without heaviness. Orchard stone fruit and a touch of honeyed texture develop through the mid-palate, finishing with mineral precision.

Domaines Chermette's Collonges 2024 demonstrates why northern Beaujolais commands respect amongst white wine enthusiasts. This is Chardonnay handled with restraint and respect for terroir—no oak excess, no overripeness. The wine shows the mineral backbone of its limestone soils and the careful viticulture that defines the house's philosophy. Suitable for those seeking genuine character over fashionable styling.

DOMAINES CHERMETTE

Based at Saint-Vérand in the Rhône, Domaines Chermette farm 53 hectares of predominantly granite soils at the heart of the Beaujolais appellation. The estate traces its origins to the seventeenth century, when it was known as Domaine du Vissoux; Pierre-Marie Chermette took the reins in 1982, and in 2023 his son Jean-Etienne gave it its current name. Certified Terra Vitis, the range centres on Gamay grown on granite — producing reds of real character and definition — alongside whites from Chardonnay on clay-limestone parcels. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its agri-environmental approach and the precision with which each cuvée reflects its terroir. A benchmark address for those who take Beaujolais seriously.
