In the mouth
Young Richebourg is explosive and demanding, requiring several years of bottle age to achieve its full potential. As it matures, the wine becomes expansive and generous, developing into an elegant, refined expression capable of remarkable longevity. In fine vintages, it achieves a sumptuous voluptuousness.
On the nose
In youth, the bouquet reveals leather, musk and sandalwood notes, evolving towards hawthorn and peach blossom. Two distinct aromatic families emerge: earthy undertones of lichen, forest floor and mushroom; and darker fruit notes of cherry, blackcurrant and preserved fruits.
On the eye
Deep, luminous garnet with crimson reflections. The colour remains consistently intense and vibrant across vintages.
