In the mouth
Silky tannins integrate beautifully, neither aggressive nor soft. Morello cherry and preserved fruit flavours dominate, with gentle confected undertones. The finish is clean and persistent.

A complex aromatic palette unfolds: dark berries and black cherry lead, with leather and animal notes providing depth. Cassis and morello cherry emerge, layered with subtle spice.

Deep garnet with intense colour; a wine of substance and maturity.
Breeding
30 to 40 per cent new oak barrels

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is a family wine estate in Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits (Burgundy). Around 33 hectares of vines. Grapes: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Grand crus: Richebourg, Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot. Extensive premier cru holdings: Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Savigny-lès-Beaune. One of Burgundy's most richly endowed grand cru estates.
