Eight generations of Burgundy winemaking from Vosne Romanée

  • The vineyard's mature vines, averaging 45 to 50 years of age, produce concentrated fruit and remarkable depth. This maturity allows the terroir of Clos de Vougeot to express itself with particular intensity and complexity.
  • A wine of considerable structure and refinement. The palate shows harmonious balance between supple tannins and discreet acidity, with an amplitude and flesh that speaks to careful viticulture and measured élevage.
  • Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret represents eight generations of accumulated knowledge and respect for the Burgundian tradition. This continuity of family stewardship ensures consistency and authenticity in every vintage.

Product features : Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Clos de Vougeot 2022

Breeding
80 to 100% new oak barrels
On the eye
Deep ruby, with the dark intensity characteristic of mature Pinot Noir from this prestigious climat.
On the nose
Concentrated aromatics of dark cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry, interwoven with notes of vanilla, warm spice, forest floor and violet. With time in glass, subtle leather and mineral undertones emerge.
In the mouth
Substantial yet refined. Fine-grained tannins provide structure without harshness, whilst the wine's natural acidity remains restrained. The finish is notably persistent, with layered red and dark fruit notes lingering.
M. Francois
A wine of sufficient weight and complexity to accompany game preparations: consider truffle tartare, duck breast with morel mushrooms, or venison. The wine's structure also suits aged hard cheeses and charcuterie of quality.
