On the eye
Bright ruby red with good clarity and depth of colour
On the nose
Red cherry, bilberry and blackcurrant with subtle spice notes. The bouquet is expressive yet restrained, showing the mineral influence of granite soils beneath the fruit.
In the mouth
Pure and expressive on the palate. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, supporting a linear structure that finishes with good length and freshness. Dry, with no heaviness.
Pairs thoughtfully with roasted beef or veal—the wine's acidity and tannin structure complement the meat's richness without overwhelming it. Also harmonises well with traditional French cheeses such as Brie or Camembert, where the minerality cuts through the creaminess.

DOMAINE BERNARD GRIPA
Based in Mauves, Ardèche, Domaine Bernard Gripa farms 17 hectares across the steep granite terraces of the right bank of the Rhône, at the heart of the Saint-Joseph appellation. Founded in 1974 by Bernard Gripa — a pioneer of estate bottling in the northern Rhône — the domaine is now led by his son Fabrice, named Best Rhône Winemaker 2024 by the Guide Hachette. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision of its granite-raised Syrahs, the finesse of its Marsanne and Roussanne whites, and a family rigour traceable to the seventeenth century. A benchmark address in the northern Rhône Valley.
