Six generations of winemaking mastery in the glass

  • This Saint-Joseph rewards patience. Structured and youthful now, it will develop beautifully over the next five to eight years, revealing deeper complexity and refinement as the tannins integrate.
  • The granitic terroir of the northern Rhône expresses itself with distinctive minerality and freshness. A wine of genuine character, neither heavy nor over-extracted, with the purity that defines the appellation.
  • Saint-Joseph from Bernard Gripa demonstrates the elegance this appellation can achieve. The aromatic profile is refined, the structure balanced, and the finish persistent—a wine that speaks of place and tradition.

Breeding
One year in oak barrel
On the eye
Bright ruby red with good clarity and depth of colour
On the nose
Red cherry, bilberry and blackcurrant with subtle spice notes. The bouquet is expressive yet restrained, showing the mineral influence of granite soils beneath the fruit.
In the mouth
Pure and expressive on the palate. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, supporting a linear structure that finishes with good length and freshness. Dry, with no heaviness.
M. Francois
Pairs thoughtfully with roasted beef or veal—the wine's acidity and tannin structure complement the meat's richness without overwhelming it. Also harmonises well with traditional French cheeses such as Brie or Camembert, where the minerality cuts through the creaminess.
