In the mouth
Substantial and well-structured, with fine-grained tannins that provide backbone without harshness. The finish displays genuine power and persistence, with a pleasing balance between fruit and mineral character.

An expressive bouquet revealing ripe redcurrant and blackberry, with subtle confited notes that suggest careful fruit selection and measured extraction. The aromatics are layered and evolving.

Breeding
Aged in stainless steel and bottled 10 to 12 months after harvest.
This wine pairs admirably with game terrines, roasted venison, or beef dishes of considerable character. It would equally complement a dark chocolate and ginger cake. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the aromatics to fully develop. Drinking well now, but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next five to seven years.

Vignobles Alain Jaume is a family wine estate in Orange (Vaucluse), Southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1826. Around 85 hectares. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Viognier. Appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Domaine Grand Veneur), Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, Vacqueyras. Organically farmed since 2010.
