The Rhône Valley expressed with clarity and restraint

  • Crafted from the classic Rhône Valley varieties—primarily Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre—this wine captures the character of its terroir with authenticity and balance. Vignobles Alain Jaume has long understood the potential of Vacqueyras as a serious appellation.
  • Produced according to organic principles, this wine reflects a commitment to sustainable viticulture without compromising the expression of fruit and structure that define the vintage.
  • A wine of considerable finesse: the fruit is ripe and expressive, yet the tannins remain refined and integrated. This is Vacqueyras that rewards both immediate enjoyment and modest cellaring.

Product features : Alain Jaume Vacqueyras Grande Garrigue 2022 — Organic

In the mouth
Blackberry and black pepper dominate the palate, supported by round, elegant tannins that provide structure without harshness. The wine is dense yet refined, finishing with persistent notes of garrigue and liquorice that linger with grace.
On the nose
Red and dark berries lead, with subtle menthol and white pepper notes. The aromatics are precise rather than showy, revealing layers of garrigue and anise as the wine opens.
On the eye
Ruby-red with brilliant clarity, suggesting both depth and freshness.
Breeding
Ageing in vats (predominantly) and oak barrels aged one to four years
M. Francois
A natural companion to Provençal cooking—particularly suited to slow-braised meat dishes such as daube provençale, where its fruit and tannin structure complement the depth of flavour. The wine's garrigue notes echo the herbs of the region, making it a harmonious pairing with the landscape itself.
