Riesling, Ugni Colombard

A family domaine of distinction since 1912

  • This cuvée stands apart from Tariquet's other offerings through its greater complexity and layered character. The interplay of ripe fruit, honeyed notes, and subtle spice creates a wine of genuine individuality rather than straightforward approachability.
  • With a natural alcohol content of only 9.5 degrees, this wine achieves remarkable balance and freshness. The lower alcohol permits the wine's aromatic character and acidity to shine without heaviness, making it particularly suited to extended drinking.
  • The finish is long and engaging, characterised by a refreshing acidity that cleanses the palate and invites the next sip. This structural precision elevates the wine beyond simple quaffing into territory worthy of contemplation.

Product features : Domaine Tariquet Imprevu 2023 — IGP Gers

In the mouth
The palate displays admirable roundness and richness. The texture is generous, with a supple attack that evolves towards ripe fruit, caramel, and spice. The wine's structure supports these flavours without dominating them.
On the nose
The bouquet is intense and aromatic, revealing ripe stone fruits, honeyed notes, and delicate floral and spiced undertones. Beneath these primary aromas lies a welcome complexity: hints of preserved fruit and vanilla that suggest careful vinification.
On the eye
Golden in colour with luminous clarity and subtle reflections that suggest a wine of pleasing texture and maturity.
M. Francois
Imprevu merits pairing with more sophisticated fare. Mediterranean-influenced dishes, grilled shellfish, and herb-dressed fish preparations will find in this wine a thoughtful companion. Its complexity and fruit-forward character complement rather than overwhelm refined cooking.
