In the mouth
Forthright attack with rounded structure. Excellent balance between the wine's natural richness and vibrant fruit expression. A persistent, clean finish with good length.
On the nose
Intensely aromatic with apricot and violet, complemented by delicate almond paste notes. The bouquet develops with air, revealing the characteristic mineral undertones of Chignin terroir.
On the eye
Clear, bright pale gold with subtle luminosity
The Roussanne grape, indigenous to the northern Rhône, finds particular expression in Chignin's Alpine limestone soils. This wine captures the varietal's signature violet and apricot character whilst maintaining the mineral precision typical of the appellation. The result is a white wine of considerable refinement and food compatibility.
