- A Roussette of considerable finesse: the wine balances structural rigour with a supple, mineral character. The palate shows both vivacity and substance, with a distinctive bitter-orange note on the finish that speaks to the wine's complexity and breeding.
- This is a natural companion to Mediterranean-inflected cooking—think Provençal fish dishes, herb-forward preparations, and lighter poultry. The wine's acidity and structure cut through richness with elegant restraint.
- The estate represents seven generations of Alpine viticulture, now certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale). The vineyard itself traces its origins to an eleventh-century monastic charter, when the Abbot of Cluny established viticulture on these slopes above Lac du Bourget.

In the mouth
The palate is well-balanced and notably structured, combining freshness with body. Crisp acidity frames white fruit flavours, whilst a distinctive bitter-orange peel note emerges on the finish, adding complexity and length.
On the nose
White stone fruits and citrus dominate—ripe pear, white peach, with secondary notes of pineapple and grapefruit zest. A mineral, slightly herbaceous undertone reflects the Alpine terroir.

Château de Monterminod's vineyard was established in the eleventh century following a monastic charter initiated by Saint Odilo, Abbot of Cluny, to produce wines for the monks who had founded a community on the shores of Lac du Bourget. This historical continuity, now spanning seven generations of the Perrier family, reflects a deep understanding of these south-facing slopes and their capacity to produce Roussettes of genuine character and finesse.
