- From the La Chanière climat in Pommard, this wine embodies the craftsmanship of Domaine Germain Père & Fils, established in 1955. The vineyard's terroir imparts distinctive character to this classic expression of the appellation.
- Aged in oak for fifteen months, with thirty-five to forty per cent new wood, it develops layered aromas of dark berries, leather and chocolate. The élevage builds structure whilst preserving the wine's natural complexity.
- Its substantial, well-defined tannins make it an excellent accompaniment to game, beef and lamb. The wine will reward cellaring and continues to develop in the glass over several hours.
