In the mouth
Round and expansive on entry, the palate demonstrates remarkable density coupled with an elastic, dynamic structure that carries the wine's complexity through to a lingering finish.
On the nose
Refined and multifaceted: old rose and dried florals mingle with cinnamon, nutmeg and white pepper, whilst mirabelle, peach, lychee and apricot provide a luscious, exotic counterpoint.
On the eye
A luminous golden hue, suggesting the wine's aromatic richness and maturity.
M. Francois
Versatile and compelling: splendid as an aperitif, equally at home with exotic fruit desserts, foie gras, sweet and sour prawns, or a mature Roquefort. A wine of genuine gastronomic breadth that rewards thoughtful pairing.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
