In the mouth
Saline minerality defines the palate, with a precise, elegant structure and clean, lingering finish. The wine shows excellent balance between acidity and fruit expression.
On the nose
Complex and harmonious on the nose: struck flint, white flowers, stone fruit, and fresh herbaceous notes combine in a refined and layered bouquet.
On the eye
Pale lemon-yellow in colour, with brilliant clarity.
M. Francois
A versatile food wine of considerable merit. Particularly well-suited to warm oysters, Spanish-style stuffed mussels, grilled squid, sea bass en croûte de sel, white meat cooked in hay, and monkfish prepared with saffron or curry. The mineral character and acidity make it an excellent aperitif wine as well.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
