  • Grown on granitic terroir, this wine develops a distinctive acidity and floral character. The mineral foundation imparts elegance and definition to the fruit, creating a wine of considerable finesse and structure.
  • A natural companion to game dishes, particularly venison and wild boar. The wine's acidity and fresh tannins cut through rich sauces and complement the depth of flavour found in traditional game preparations.
  • This Pinot Noir distinguishes itself through excellent fruit expression and an engaging palate. The balance between ripe red fruit and savoury complexity offers genuine drinking pleasure without pretension.

In the mouth
Soft attack followed by fresh, well-integrated tannins. The wine displays admirable complexity, with the mineral character providing structure and the fruit offering genuine satisfaction. A wine of balance and poise.
On the nose
Refined bouquet revealing delicate red fruit aromas with a subtle acidic edge. Notes of cherry and red currant mingle with understated floral hints characteristic of the granitic terroir.
On the eye
Deep ruby robe with excellent colour intensity and clarity
M. Francois
Excellent with beef carpaccio and duck breast with cherry gastrique. Equally at home with white boudin and apple compote, or pork knuckle braised with red cabbage. The wine's acidity and tannin structure make it versatile with charcuterie and terrines. A genuine food wine of considerable merit.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
