DOMAINE LUCIEN LARDY

Based in Fleurie at the heart of the Beaujolais, Domaine Lucien Lardy farms 18 hectares of pink granite and iron-rich sandy soils — a terrain ideally suited to precise, expressive Gamay. Lucien Lardy settled at Le Vivier in 1978 with just 5 hectares, building the estate over decades as a third-generation vigneron. A founder of the Terroirs Originels alliance, he vinifies each plot separately across Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, allowing the geology to speak clearly through the wine. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its plot-by-plot approach and the remarkable clarity its wines bring to anyone wishing to understand the full geological diversity of the Beaujolais. A dependable reference for the discerning amateur.
