From the Domaine's oldest vines, some over a century in age

  • The Lladoner Pelut varietal expresses itself through distinctive liquorice and black pepper aromatics, lending character and depth to this Roussillon expression.
  • A wine of genuine substance and power, built on the foundation of mature vines that have accumulated considerable complexity over decades of growth.
  • This cuvée rewards patience. Allow it time in the cellar to develop further; it will repay the wait with greater harmony and refinement.

Product features : Le Clos des Fees Vieilles Vignes 2022

In the mouth
Dense and layered on the palate, with a structure that carries through to a lingering finish. Good weight and complexity, with the tannins well-integrated.
On the nose
Red fruits, black pepper and liquorice, with subtle vanilla notes emerging as the wine opens. Aromatic complexity that speaks to the age of the vines.
On the eye
Intense ruby, with good depth of colour
Breeding
Ageing 12 months without racking in a single batch in a traditional concrete vat
M. Francois
A wine of substance that finds its place at table with robust, slow-cooked dishes. Pair with beef daube and root vegetables, where its power and spice complement the depth of flavour. The wine's density will stand up to the richness of the braise.
