The authentic expression of Beaujolais

  • Jean-Paul Brun's l'Ancien demonstrates the meticulous viticulture and winemaking that have defined Domaine des Terres Dorées for generations. This vintage captures the essence of his philosophy: respecting the vineyard and allowing the fruit to speak naturally.
  • The character of the Beaujolais terroir is evident throughout this wine. Granite and clay soils impart mineral definition whilst the altitude of the vineyard ensures the freshness and balance that distinguish the finest Beaujolais crus.
  • Les Halles de Quercamps works directly with family producers like Jean-Paul Brun, allowing us to offer you wines of genuine quality at fair merchant prices, without unnecessary intermediaries.

In the mouth
The palate is marked by admirable freshness and poise. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, providing structure without dominating. A wine of elegance and restraint, with a clean, mineral finish.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with red cherry and wild strawberry, complemented by subtle floral notes and a whisper of white pepper. The aromatics are fresh and inviting, with no heaviness.
On the eye
A luminous ruby hue with excellent clarity and depth.
M. Francois
L'Ancien is best enjoyed with charcuterie, roasted poultry, and grilled meats. Its freshness and moderate weight make it equally suitable for lighter fare such as terrines and pâtés. Serve slightly cool, around 13°C, to fully appreciate its aromatic subtlety.
