The elegance and complexity of a great Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc

  • This vintage delivers a distinctive tasting experience marked by refinement and elegance. The 2023 growing season presented considerable challenges, including April frosts and rain during the harvest, yet Famille Perrin has crafted a wine of considerable poise and character.
  • Château de Beaucastel's approach prioritises quality and harmony with the natural environment. The house's biodynamic practices and careful selection of fruit have yielded a white of genuine distinction and ageing potential.
  • A wine that rewards patience and proper cellaring. The 2023 will develop further complexity over the coming years, revealing additional layers of aromatic and gustatory interest as it matures in bottle.

In the mouth
White stone fruits dominate the palate, complemented by honeyed notes and fennel. A distinctive saline finish provides excellent definition and persistence, lending the wine considerable character and food-friendly appeal.
On the nose
Delicate aromatic bouquet revealing notes of linden blossom, apricot and almond, with subtle mineral undertones characteristic of the appellation
On the eye
Elegant golden hue with brilliant reflections and subtle green tinges
Breeding
Ageing in oak barrels is used sparingly to preserve the freshness of the aromas
M. Francois
Serve at 10°C in standard tasting glasses. This wine pairs particularly well with poultry, creamed dishes, and lighter fish preparations. The mineral backbone and acidity make it an excellent aperitif wine. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the aromatics to fully express themselves.
