A family legacy in Gigondas since 1891

  • This Gigondas expresses the distinctive character of Gigondas's high-altitude vineyards, where elevation above 250 metres brings remarkable freshness and mineral tension to the Grenache and Syrah.
  • Planted on steep terraces at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, these vines benefit from cool nights and excellent drainage. The result is a wine of purity and definition, with fine-grained tannins and impressive structure.
  • The balance between ripe red fruit and vibrant acidity gives this wine considerable ageing potential. In the cellar, it will develop greater complexity and reveal additional layers of spice and mineral character over many years.

M. Francois
A profound, well-structured Gigondas that captures the freshness and complexity of high-altitude viticulture in the southern Rhône. The interplay of ripe red fruits, spice and garrigue, combined with firm yet refined tannins, makes this an elegant wine of considerable character. It will accompany grilled meats, roasted lamb and rich sauces admirably, and will reward patient cellaring for many years.

FAMILLE BRUNIER

On the Crau plateau at Bédarrides, Famille Brunier farm 70 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape across galets roulés and red clay soils, currently in organic conversion. Founded in 1891 by Henri Brunier, the estate is now in the hands of its sixth generation — Nicolas, Édouard and Manon — who joined between 2015 and 2018, bringing fresh rigour to a house already defined by its command of Grenache Noir and deep-rooted sense of terroir. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the consistency of its age-worthy reds and the character of its whites — both faithful expressions of one of the Rhône Valley's most clearly defined terroirs. A dependable reference for anyone seeking Châteauneuf-du-Pape at its most complete.
