Product features : Maison M. Chapoutier - Cote-Rotie Quatuor 2016 — Côte-Rôtie

In the mouth
Ample and well-structured, with fine, silky tannins. Intense dark fruit flavours—blackcurrant and blackberry—are complemented by white pepper spice, violet and subtle smoke. The finish is long and refined, with understated freshness and mineral grip.
On the nose
Elegant bouquet of dark berries, white pepper and leather, with liquorice and a delicate floral note of violet. Characteristic of fine Côte-Rôtie, with mineral undertones.
On the eye
Deep purple robe with violet reflections
Breeding
14 to 18 months in oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood, bringing structure and depth without masking the delicacy of the aromas
M. Francois
Maison M. Chapoutier's Côte-Rôtie Quatuor unites power and elegance in a wine of considerable depth. It expresses the full complexity of Syrah cultivated on the Côte-Rôtie's dramatic terraces. Rich dark fruit and spice aromatics, lifted by floral freshness, suggest considerable ageing potential. Excellent with red meats, game and sauced dishes; equally rewarding after years in cellar. A sophisticated wine for the discerning collector.
