In the mouth
Silky attack with fine tannins. Flavours of dark berries and blackcurrant, layered with pepper, liquorice and subtle smoke. Good length on the palate with a fresh, spiced finish

Breeding
Aged in stainless steel and oak barrels for approximately 12 months, to preserve fruit purity whilst adding subtle oak complexity
This Crozes-Hermitage from M. Chapoutier represents the refined expression of Syrah in the northern Rhône. Complex aromas of dark fruit and spice, combined with silky tannins, create a harmonious and elegant wine. Drink young for bright fruit or after a few years for added complexity. Maison M. Chapoutier is a wine estate and merchant founded in 1808 in Tain-l'Hermitage (Drôme), Rhône Valley. Run by Michel Chapoutier since 1990. Over 350 hectares farmed biodynamically (Demeter certified). Appellations: Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage. Main grapes: Syrah, Marsanne, Grenache, Roussanne.
