A wine for convivial moments, shared with friends

  • This Beaujolais Première exemplifies the appellation with admirable clarity. Jean-Paul Brun's measured approach allows the terroir to express itself without artifice, delivering a wine of genuine typicity and finesse.
  • The palate shows the hallmark freshness of young Beaujolais—red currant and blackberry notes—balanced by a natural gourmandise that makes the wine immediately approachable without sacrificing structure or interest.
  • Brun respects Beaujolais tradition through carbonic maceration, a technique that preserves the wine's vibrancy and fruit-forward character whilst maintaining the elegance expected of a serious producer.

Product features : Domaine Jean-Paul Brun Beaujolais Première 2024

In the mouth
Crisp and immediately engaging on the palate. The wine displays good acidity and a light, crunchy texture that invites further sips. Tannins are fine and integrated, making this a wine of genuine drinkability without heaviness.
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of fresh red fruits: blackcurrant and blackberry predominate, with subtle floral undertones and a mineral edge characteristic of the granite-based soils of Beaujolais.
On the eye
Purple-hued robe with youthful brilliance
M. Francois
Jean-Paul Brun has long been recognised as one of Beaujolais's most thoughtful vignerons. This Première is a gem of understated pleasure—the sort of wine that rewards the drinker who values authenticity over fashion. Drink it slightly chilled with charcuterie, soft cheeses, or simply amongst friends. A wine that reminds us why Beaujolais, when made with care, remains one of France's most civilised offerings.
