  • The 2022 vintage rewards patience. Whilst approachable now, this wine will develop beautifully over the next decade, its silky tannins integrating further and secondary flavours emerging with time.

Breeding
A risotto with porcini or wild mushroom sauté. The forest floor character that develops with time in this wine will create a magnificent echo.
On the eye
Deep ruby with subtle garnet rim. Clear and luminous.
On the nose
Complex bouquet revealing dark cherry and blackcurrant, underpinned by a distinctive mineral note characteristic of La Perrière's terroir. Subtle spice and earth emerge with aeration.
In the mouth
Ample and silky on the palate, with refined tannins and good structure. A whisper of salinity adds tension and length, whilst the fruit remains pure and well-defined throughout.
M. Francois
Pair this wine with roasted game birds—a chapon with pear and fig sauce would be ideal—or a refined duck parmentier. The wine's mineral backbone and silky texture complement rich, savoury preparations without overwhelming them. Equally rewarding simply as a meditation wine.
