On the eye
Clear ruby robe, pale and luminous. Typical of restrained Pinot Noir, suggesting elegance over power.
On the nose
Refined aromatics of tart cherry and wild strawberry, with delicate floral notes of peony. A subtle hint of liquorice emerges—characteristic of Gevrey's limestone terroir.
In the mouth
Generous tannins with impressive structure, yet maintained with admirable finesse. The wine's balance between power and elegance is its defining quality.
Excellent with roasted beef fillet or lamb seasoned with light spices. The wine's structure also suits game dishes, particularly after five to eight years of bottle age, when the tannins will have softened and secondary flavours developed.
