- The Sonnenglanz vineyard, whose name translates as 'sun's gleam', benefits from exceptional south-facing exposure above Beblenheim. This privileged position in the Alsatian foothills concentrates the fruit and develops the characteristic richness for which this Grand Cru is recognised.
- The Becker family has tended these vineyards across fourteen generations, beginning in 1610. This continuity of knowledge and respect for the land informs every decision in the cellar, from harvest timing to élevage.
- Certified organic since the early 1990s, Domaine Jean Becker practises sustainable viticulture without synthetic inputs. The certification reflects a philosophical commitment to preserving the integrity of this historic terroir.
